i’m a little troubled with whats the difference between these models, can anyone help out?
There’s a couple differences. The American model had the front bug eyes the Japanese model had DA headlights. As for performance the Japanese model had different engine internals and makes more power. The Japanese model also had a LSD tranny. Not to mention the Japanese model is right hand drive.
i want to make a sturdier cover, but i need to know the measurements of the spare tire compartment.
Take yours out and measure it.Use it as a template even.
all light bink on and off ( inculding dash board) even when the car is off. closing the doors or opening them will stop the light from flashing(sometimes).I have tryed disconnecting the battery as soon as I connect in back I hear the relay’s that control the light’s( 2 relay’s) click on & off.I suspect its the alarm. I am trying to find a diasble/disarm switch to disable the alarm.
Find the alarm location then trace the wires to the first connection and unplug…
I have a 1997 Honda Accord "Special Edition" (based on the LX model) 2.2 Liter 4 Cylinder Automatic two-door coupe.
My car has had an ongoing problem since I bought it – an ongoing internal engine oil leak. Two of the four cylinders collect large amounts of oil towards the bottom of the spark plug tubes, obviously causing the spark plugs to be covered in oil (with power loss noticeable, I’m sure this is causing them some trouble though they seem to be working). The tubes never fill with oil, it stays in the bottom and does not appear to come from the top. I can pull out the spark plugs and wipe everything clean *as possible* but it’s back to the way it was after only one trip. The oil *IS* leaking out of the engine somehow as it is making the side of the engine towards the distributor cap oily, along with electrical connections in the area (I continue to wipe this).
My vehicle, according to the internet and products available for purchase, has "lower seals" which were never changed (something apparently unique to the year of my vehicle??). The valve cover gasket and UPPER tube seals were replaced two times – this did nothing for the issue. An expert Honda mechanic states to me that he has never heard of the lower seals and thinks repeating the gasket and upper seals would help but I don’t know what to think. I have conflicting information.
Any advice???? Does anyone know of this/heard of this?
Not sure who your Honda expert is but he is 100% wrong. The lower seals are an o-ring that sits between your rocker arm assembly and the head. This is a common repair on all 90-97 accords. In 98 they changed to a solid steel tube that is pressfit into the head. Replacing the upper seals won’t help if these are leaking. I’m on my phone at the moment but I’ll upload some diagrams on my computer when I can.
Will is right – the lower seals are not all that uncommon. The upper seals leak more often but the lower ones (as he describes) are a real headache. If I’m not too disoriented they are part 19 in the first source.
can i put a 97 honda prelude h23 engine with a 92 honda prelude trany but there from two diff gens
yes but you will need new mounts and new ecu
I have just recently passed my cbt and brought this commuter to get from a-b but so far have only got 40mph out of it and wondered if that is as fast as it goes?
Back ion the day they’d do about 60-ish depending on if you’d just had dinner or not, but an H reg is quite an old bike, so God knows what it’ll do flat out now.
Around 65 would be the as new top speed. If it will only do 40 either it is clapped out, and you would find it burning oil fast and generally a mess, or it’s something simple like wrong ignition timing, blocked exhaust, decoke needed. Get yourself a Haynes manual and have a look see
i think your Air filter is chocked.. try to clean it,, Tune the Carb.. check air pressure in tires.. and ur 125 will easily touch about 80 KM/H (50MPH) while a solo body Honda 125 in Pakistan can maximum reach about 110Km/h on Stock settings..
Hello
Most 125′s are limited to 14.6 BHP and this a top speed of about 65 MPH so I would get it serviced and see if that helps.
Andy C
i believe its 65mph
